AWS QuickSight - Making data in your DataLake actually actionable

Are you drowning in a sea of data being stored in your data lake?

You have your giant data lake full of every user interaction that has ever taken place being meticulously recorded, then what? How do you sift through all that data to get real actionable information? This can be a daunting task.

Meet AWS QuickSight can help you take your data and turn it into actionable reports and visuals.

At first I was like “Not another CloudWatch Metrics report builder tool” but then quickly pulled a 180 once I saw that it can read Data Lake / Data Warehouse sources such as Amazon Athena, Redshift, S3, and a lot more. Even old school MySQL if that is in your stack though I would be hesitant to point it at your source of truth DBs.

It integrates heavily with AWS Q which is AWS’s Business Intelligence LLM so you can generate a lot of the reports just by asking natural language questions.

Let me know if you want to see deeper dive on this. I actually just stumbled on this while working on a new ebook tentatively called The CTOs Guide To AI On AWS - If you want a free copy get on the waiting list and I will send you updates as it progresses.

~Cheers
